Who's behind this
I'm a Central Coast filmmaker with a sailboat in the harbor, trail shoes by the door, and a permanent suspicion that the best parts of the map are the ones nobody points at. I grew up here — running bluffs, reading tide tables, learning the hard way what fog does to a forecast — and I've spent my adult life collecting the skills this coast rewards: solo sailing and anchoring, open-water swimming and paddling, backcountry overnights, and the patience to film all of it while doing it.
The mission is simple: prove that adventure is closer, cheaper, and more possible than the internet makes it look. The films that made me want this life never told me how — what it cost, what to carry, what could go wrong. So every episode I make becomes a free, honest, step-by-step guide on this site. Nothing gated. Nothing exaggerated.
And because the best part of any treasure story is that it might be you — the rings are real. At the end of every adventure I hide one, on legal, safe, reachable ground, and the film holds the clues. Find it and it's yours. Forever.

A silver band engraved with rolling waves — the first ring ever placed. It rode in a zipped pocket through the bluff run and the jade cove, and now it waits in the spray-cooled dark near Salmon Creek Falls, listening to a hundred feet of falling water.

MTL-L001 · Legend Ring

The first Legend ring: a silver band inlaid with twin channels of koa wood, split by a thin steel rail — the deck and the sea in one object. It crossed Morro Bay on a sailboat, came ashore on a surfboard, and was carried at a run down the sandspit to a lookout with water on both horizons.
